ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Federal Government of Nigeria, in strategic partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI), has formally inaugurated the ₦150 Billion Industrial Export Transformation Fund, targeting medium and large manufacturers in the non-oil sector.
Under the facility terms, qualifying Nigerian producers of packaged palm oil, sesame seeds, cocoa butter, leather goods, and domestic pharmaceuticals can access long-term working capital and capital expenditure loans at a concessionary interest rate of 9% per annum.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Doris Uzoka-Anite stated that the credit intervention directly supports Nigerian industrialists looking to dominate consumer markets under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
The initiative is paired with dedicated export processing corridors at the ports of Lagos, Calabar, and Onne, where participating manufacturers benefit from 24-hour green-lane customs clearance and zero demurrage fees for raw input imports.
